Here we are canoeing. We usually go every saturday.
This is Kristie, Kerry, and Caroline.

It was such a beautiful day! I especially appreciated
today because it has been raining so much. We canoed
around the lake and to the mouth of the river, I think
the river is St. Regis River, but I am not sure.
The Adventure team let the girls jump out of the
canoes and swim for a bit. We can't swim on the shores
because there is a lot of glass and things on the bottom.
So the girls were way excited to swim/ get some exercise
in!

Saturday afternoon... Marital Arts! This is one
of my favorite classes here. I, as well as the girls
have learned so much in this class. We learn self
defense and practice. The teacher's name is David
he is from Belgium, he is married to one of the
camp nurses. We also did camp skits this week.
They were so so funny! My bunk did a skit on Well
spring/ Harry potter, and cracked a lot of inside jokes
from the campers. Everyone enjoyed it quite a bit.

This is one of my girls that pushes herself all the
way! She is doing such an awesome job!

This is Kristie. She is my camper that is also LDS
it is good to talk to her sometimes, just so someone
understands where I am coming from! She is from
Kansas.

My Night off! We went into saranac lake and
went to this awesome Organic, whole food market.
I bought this dark chocolate +mint + organic bar
which actually had a lot of fat in it, but I enjoyed
every last bit of it! It was amazing!

This is Kelsi and Jody. Kelsi is the culinary assistant
that helps the girls cook Healthy food and Jody is a
counselor like I am.

Last night a pipe broke in the cafeteria, so they
had to serve dinner outside! My girls were
quite upset to say the least. But I didn't mind
at all! It reminded me of camping which I miss
a lot a lot.

The geese that are raising their children right
next to the cafeteria.

I think last week was the hardest by far. I have
found out things about myself and about others,
that are good and bad. I think the one thing that
I have learned that really makes a difference in
a person's life is attitude. I can tell the girls who
really want to accomplish their goals, and I can tell
the girls who just want an easy way out from their
problems. It has really made me think about what
I need to change in my life, and how I would want
to raise my children. I have felt so much like a parent
here. I am so happy for them when they are happy and
are doing the things they are supposed to be doing,
but I have also felt disapointment and concern and
I have lost trust in some of them. This week is the
last week for the 4 weekers to be here. Most of my
girls go home, and I combine bunks with another and
I get another co-counselor. Mine has been great,
she is hardley there because she is a personal
trainer in the gym. We'll see how the next few weeks
go!
